The Greenhouse Seed Company
is one of the first seed companies to grow
marijuana commercially from Holland. In 1986
they began their pedigree breeding program to
develop new seed strains. Greenhouse Seeds aim
was to develop stronger different flavoured
strains to what the market currently offered
providing the consumer with a greater variety.
Greenhouse Seed Company thought that developing
stronger seed strains would also prevent
cannabis users from seeking harder drugs by
providing a genuine strong cannabis alternative
to hard drugs.
The Greenhouse Seed Company breeding program to
develop the new strains used new growing methods
including using new substrates , climatic
controls and new nutrient formulas served to the
plants using new methods. The breeding program
was a success.
The first Green House , coffee shop , Tolstraat
, opened soon after and popularity of the seed
strains grew as more people sampled the new
strains on offer at the shop. Master Kush and
Cytral were a big success and Greenhouse were
proud to have them represented at the 1st High
Times Cannabis Cup.
A second Green House coffee shop, Waterlooplein,
opened in 1995. The artistic looking shop won
the Cannabis Cup for the best looking coffee
shop that year. As the Greenhouse Seed Company
continued to grow they looked for a partner and
a collaboration with a former Sensi Seed breeder
led to a third Green House shop in 1997.
Green house seeds have been off the map in the
seed growing world for the last couple of years
as they have been involved in medical trials
with the Dutch government but they are now back
and with some new strains which are sure to
impress

Haze Effect: A very lemony haze, works fast and
lasts long. It’s a very powerful high, very balanced
between a physical and a cerebral side. Flowering
indoor: 9-10 weeks with a production up to 700 gr/sqm
Flowering outdoor: finishes end October in northern
hemisphere, production up to 1000 gr/plant. The
Super Lemon Haze has won the 2008 High Times
Cannabis Cup with a landslide of votes. Between the
many reasons: its incredibly intense lemony flavour,
with a strong haze background. It’s a sharp and
intense taste, which reminds of lemon, lime and pink
grapefruit, followed by a very earthy and musky haze
aftertaste, with traces of incense and black pepper.
The effect is very balanced; it starts with a quick
indica-hit feeling that softly moves to a very
strong high, with a social and creative side. The
Super Lemon Haze is a very smooth compromise between
the great qualities of its parents. It has 9-10
weeks flowering time, and a very typical Christmas
tree shape. Plants tend to grow quite tall, but the
internodes are not too far apart, and allow easy
topping. The leaves are very sativa-like, while bud
formation comes dense and has a high calyx-to-leaf
ratio. The Super Lemon Haze is very effective both
indoors and outdoors, and responds very well to
high-EC hydro systems as well as organic soil
setups. When cultivated in soil, the spectrum of
terpens is more developed and gives an extra lemony
flavour. The THC is high at over 22%, ensuring a
very psychedelic experience to even the most

K-Train The K-Train is a new creation of Green House
Seed Company. We decided to cross the original
Trainwreck with original Kush, and the result is
impressive to say the least. After careful
selection, we are introducing the perfect balance
between these two famous strains: the K-Train. It is
a very powerful indica strain, easy to grow and with
a strong metabolism. With all the plant
characteristics of the Kush and the typical
oversized calyx and bud structure of the Trainwreck.
The structure of the plant is mid-sized and bushy,
with thick round leaves and strong stalks. The
K-Train has a flowering time of 9 weeks, and it’s
suitable for indoor and outdoor. It can manage high
EC levels. The flavor is very kushy, sweet and
earthy, with moss and musk background. The effect
strong on the muscles, quite narcotic as well. It is
a long lasting ride, very stoned.

The Alaskan Ice is one of the strongest cannabis
plants ever bred. It is a cross of original Green
House White Widow and Pure Haze. This variation
represents a very famous strain, with a new kick.
The plants have a structure that is slightly
stretchier than the White Widow, with a typical
pine-tree shape. The internode is quite stable and
averages 12-15 centimeters. The strain has all the
well known characteristics of the White Widow, with
a much higher THC content and a very sativa-like
effect, energizing and very trippy. CBD level is
also very high at over 1%, giving it a complete
physical effect that follows the first burst of
high. Flowering time on this strain is 9 weeks, just
one week longer than the original White Widow. The
Alaskan Ice is suitable for indoor, outdoor and
greenhouse. The plant is quite resistant to botrytis
and to pests. In indoor hydro systems the production
can reach 700-800 grams per square meter. Outdoor
expect production up to 800 grams per plant with
fully developed specimens (up to 2,5 meters high and
very branchy). The Alaskan Ice can be fed quite a
bit, with an EC level up to 2.2 in hydro systems
(regular flush required). The taste of the Alaskan
Ice is spicy and hazy, with a very well balanced
bouquet in between the White Widow and the Haze
flavors.

Cheese
is a unique
strain, until now, available as clone
form only. Like many cannabis strains the
history and origins of Cheese are somewhat confused
and distorted.
Cheese
originated in 1988-89 as one unique female phenotype
out of packet of Sensi Seeds
Skunk No. 1 grown somewhere in the
Chiltern Hills. This one plant produced
impressively large buds and had a very distinctive
cheesy odour. It was quickly cloned and named
Cheese.
Around 1995 a Cheese clone was passed on to Exodus,
an alternative community living in Haz Hall on the
edges of Luton. Exodus organised free parties,
championed the legalisation of cannabis, grew
cannabis themselves and protected each other from
the law. They also started CANABIS (Campaign
Against Narcotic Abuse Because of Ignorance in
Society). Because of all the people that
passed through the Exodus community many clones were
handed out to visitors and the
strain continued to grow in notoriety.
For
many years Cheese has passed around an underground
network of growers in the UK, helped by Exodus and
others.
It is now available for the first time as a
feminised strain!
